Pure Water Labs, LLC (PWL) supports the water well industry and private well owners with reliable testing and services. We do everything from private well testing to Public Certified Operator services. In 2023, PWL strengthened its capabilities by acquiring Water Compliance Specialists, Inc. (est. 1995). We are locally owned in Wisconsin with labs and offices in Lodi and Reedsburg.

Dennis Crow
Lab Director

Dennis R. Crow earned his BS in Agricultural Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Raised on a dairy and grain farm, Dennis began his career in the agricultural sector as a chemical technical service representative, building a strong foundation in applied science and field diagnostics.
For more than 30 years, Dennis has owned and operated a business serving the water well industry, conducting extensive field testing on water conditioning equipment, and evaluating countless water samples. His hands-on expertise spans laboratory analysis, system troubleshooting, and real-world water quality challenges faced by private and public well owners.
Dennis currently serves as a co-chair to the WI DNR Well Driller & Pump Installer Advisory Council. He has also been an active leader within the Wisconsin Water Well Association, serving as Executive Secretary from 1999-2001 and previously holding roles as Director, Secretary, and Treasurer.
His blend of scientific training, industry leadership, and decades of practical field experience makes him a trusted resource for clients and professionals throughout Wisconsin.
Jamie Stietz
Lab Manager

Jamie grew up in rural southwest Wisconsin and has always been fascinated with science. She followed her lifelong love of learning and has received a BS in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and an MS in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Jamie has 19 years in at-the-bench laboratory science with an emphasis on water and groundwater safety and determining the source of microbial contamination. She has worked for Pure Water Labs since May 2017.
Marci Daugherty
Certified Operator/Admin

Marci joined the PWL team in July 2025. She has received a BA in History from Anderson University, utilizing it in the professional realm through public education and administrative work.
Marci has been working in the water well industry for 4+ years, working closely with the DNR, well drillers/pump installers, and homeowners.
